Focussing on helping disadvantage young people achieve their full potential, we work in four broad areas:
To help young people find out their real capabilities we work with Outward Bound. To break the cycle of unemployment we support The Prince’s Trust’s Get Into and Team programmes. And to overcome education disadvantage we support IntoUniversity.
Trucks and Child Safety (TACS) aims to help keep children safe around larger vehicles on the road.
Supporting local communities
Match It! helps employee fund raising or volunteering go a bit further, while Transform It! grants are available to improve community facilities around the country.
Recognising achievement, meeting need
The Community Heroes Awards recognise the outstanding contribution made by DHL employees to groups and charities. Helping Hands funding is available for both current and retired DHL employees and their dependents experiencing financial hardship.
But don’t forget that support for the Foundation is just one of the ways in which DHL aims to get involved in the communities in which it operates. To find out about other community and charity work carried out by DHL across the UK, please talk to your local CSR representative.
