Inspiring students in Northampton

DHL colleagues up and down the country are supporting GoTeach, a programme run by the DHL UK Foundation that supports the education and employability of young people in disadvantaged communities across the UK.

Dean Wyatt, VP Retail from DHL Supply Chain and long-time supporter of the DHL UK Foundation, recently delivered a series of activities at the Woodvale Primary Academy in Northampton. Dean said:

“I’d encourage everyone to get out there and support a local school through the GoTeach UK Programme. I gave up 2 hours at the start of my day to inspire students about who DHL are and what we do – it was easy, fun and really inspiring.”

As well as delivering an Introduction to Logistics Assembly to over 240 children in Year 3, 4, 5 and 6, Dean ran two Workshops for Year 5, showcasing how important skills like communication and teamwork are in the world of work.

Mrs Barrington, Dept Principal of Woodvale Primary Academy said:

“Thank you to Dean and DHL for delivering such an exciting and inspiring sessions for our students – Dean was brilliant and the messaging was spot on for our Year 3-6’s! We hope you’ll come back soon.”
